We invite you to join us at the 19th Annual Legacy Luncheon at Michael’s On East on Thursday, February 24, 2022. We are pleased that Mr. Alex Hitz, author, chef, master host, T.V. personality, lecturer, columnist, hospitality consultant, and philanthropist will be our guest speaker.


Christened “the very best host in the world” by the Wall Street Journal, Alex’s reputation as the “Ralph Lauren of food and wine” is backed by a lifetime of entertaining and cooking. His down to earth philosophy is founded in his mother’s Atlanta kitchen as well as his childhood family home in France. This combination of relaxed southern elegance and continental flair has become Alex’s signature style.


Alex is also a contributing editor at House Beautiful, and Town and Country, he writes regularly for Departures, Southern Living and Quest magazines. He has also authored two cookbooks, The Art of the Host and My Beverly Hills kitchen. We are looking forward to his sharing his life experiences and entertaining knowledge with us.


Since 2003, Legacy Luncheon has served as the signature fundraiser for the Junior League of Sarasota Endowment Fund, which sustains the League’s efforts to serve the community. Established in 1986, the Fund has now exceeded $1.5 million in assets, through the generous support of our Members and Friends! The strength of the Fund allowed the League last year to award $45,000 in grants to numerous nonprofits, during a difficult year, to help them address critical human needs in Sarasota County as well as train the best of Sarasota’s young women to become community leaders.
